  • Conflict resolution in the workplace

    Overview:

    In the workplace, unresolved conflict negatively will in no doubt affect the productivity and the morale of the organization; therefore, how the company manages conflict is very important. This seminar will examine the different types of conflict and offer participants a model for successfully resolving conflict at work.

    At the end of this seminar, participants will be able to do the following:

    • Define the nature of the conflict, including its cause and effect.
    • Understand the different conflict management styles and when each one is most effective.
    • Resolve conflict through negotiation.

  • Effective communication at work

    Overview:

    Being able to communicate effectively is perhaps the most important of all life skills. It is what enables us to pass information to other people, and to understand what is said to us. … Communication, at its simplest, is the act of transferring information from one place to another. In order to communicate effectively, individuals have to master the techniques of effective listening and self-expression. In essence, this session will help participants develop an atmosphere that is conducive for good and effective communication by discussing key elements like validation, active listening and also making them aware of the impact of non-verbal communication as well.

    At the end of this session, participants will be able to do the following:

    • Understand the three major communication styles.
    • Develop techniques to communicate assertively.
    • Speak effectively when conversing about conflict.
    • Recognize the barriers that can get in the way of listening
